Hello Everyone!
We are the students from Velammal Engineering College, participating in the 2010 edition of SAE BAJA India. SAE BAJA is a yearly competition conducted by the Society of Automobile Engineers (SAE) in which the objective of each team is to build a working car, which will be subject to rigorous performance tests. This is the third consecutive year that Velammal has been participating in this national level event, where 80 teams battle for the Title, after being chosen from a pool of 200 teams in the first round. The first round (also called Virtual BAJA) is a round in which the design of the proposed car is thoroughly scrutinized and probed by a team of experts. This round was passed with flying colours by the team. The team is sponsored by OJALA industries of Finland.

The faculty advisors for the team are Mr. P. Tamilselvan and Mr. Chinnasamy, who are both highly qualified teachers from the Mechanical Department. The team Captain is A.L.Kannan and the Vice Captain is Oliver Thomas. P. The treasurer for the entire project is Praveen Kumar.V .
